Logo - Thanks for the suggestion about
the signature. I've input it and hopefully it appears upon submitting the post. Dad's spirits are broken right now. He usually rebounds quickly but this is a different kind of news. He's very worried about
himself (and rightfully so). I think he's afraid the end is near with such an overwhelming diagnosis.
Oncas- Nice to hear from you -- but very sorry you're facing the same thing as my Dad. I am going to ask about Casodex for sure when we meet with the oncologist next week. I'm also planning to ask about the Triple Blockadge. It sounded like his treatment would be to use Lupron until it stops working then move to another treatment.
He isn't in much pain now, although I can tell there is some discomfort in the hip area. Oncologist says she will radiate that after an Xray to try and mitigate what's going on in the hip.
I'm hoping someday he will want to join on here himself, although I think he's too scared to learn more than he already knows. Knowledge is power though and you have all helped me learn alot. As a matter of fact when I went with him to his first oncologist appointment she offered me a job! (Granted I thought she was joking but she was insistent for a few minutes.). Ha! This next visit I think I'll tell her I "earned" my "Dr" at "HealingWell University".
All kidding aside...Thanks for the encouragement - wishing you all the best as well!!
