Clinicians have no reason to follow the USPSTF guidelines. But I disagree with Forbes on that one. Do you remember the recommendation issued a couple years ago by the USPSTF on breast cancer screening? It was never pulled down by the USPSTF. Organizations like the ACS, SGK, and others issued very strong statements against the recommendation and doc's basically ignored it. That's what we can hope for. Unfortunately, the ACS is not on board with putting up the same effort for the guys as they did the girls.
Also, I saw this yesterday. I didn't post it because of the political issues with this article. Whether Forbes is right or not about
the "death panel" accusations, it is off topic here to encourage debate about
it. I encourage us to avoid that debate...
