I am a partner in a large financial planning/investment advisory firm and manage the finances for 400 clients. I work 50-70 hours each week and conduct at least four client meetings each day. I haven't had any problems with energy or cognitive issues. I am 61. I do get hot flashes, but rarely during the day so they have not been a problem.
I changed my diet adopting the Snuffy Meyers modified mediteranian (next to no land animal meat, eggs or dairy) stopped all carbonated drinks (except for a few beers on the weekend), and eliminated caffine. I drink lots of water and at least five cups of green tea daily. I exercise daily with at least a very brisk three mile walk and three days a week I do moderate strength training. The hot flashes are most subdued when I get my exercise and green tea. I have tried some medications for them but the exercise and no caffine has been the best remedy.
The HT side effects have been nothing more than the normal effects of menopause that my wife has gone through. None of it has slowed either one of down. At least with mine there will be the day I regain my T levels and then the side effects will be gone.
