Well it's been a while since I last checked but always try look in when I get a chance. I just read Tony's post regarding staying diligent in keeping the check-up's on the schedule and I feel that is very good advice. I to this day get checked every 6 months even through I have been told I could go to yearly tests. I  had a friend that was told the same thing as all looked good and the the end of the next year he was surprised to learn of it's return and he'd wished he had continued to get checked every 6 months at least for a little longer. For me it works out well as my annual phyiscal and my radiation follow up are almost exactly 6 months apart so it makes the reason easy to get it checked every 6 months.

At any rate I just had my latest check up this November and can now report that it came back at <.03 which is as low as they can read  so undetectable. For those fighting don't give up, I had surgery close to 5 years ago now, January of 2007 and all looked good until the fall of 2007 when PCa made a return. At that point salvage radation was put into play that next spring and since finishing the treatments in June of 2008 I have had undetectable readings. I take nothing for granted in staying alert and checking but am grateful for what I have and where I am today and for the continued good test results. Hopefully the good test results will continue and that many more stricken with this disease can find hope and sucess with their treatment options even if the first one does not appear to work as one would hope.

Take care all
