All these variables in fact can vary from patient to patient, alot depends upon the type(s) or Gleason scores, status of your disease levels, even things like DNA ploidy analysis of the PCa cells which could be done during pathology work, another one that is not utilized often is the AR receptor testing via pathology, a high AR expression would translate to less effective HT duration (simple test and yet hardly mentioned to many people). Some variants and ploidy types respond less or much less to HT than other more categorized normal scenarios. The amount of aidpca cells as mentioned makes a huge difference. So, in effect you cannot know with certainty how you will fair for certain, you can maybe go by averages and still not a good enough to hang your hat on. My nadir after doing ADT3 drugs for like 5 months and, then radiations of neutron & photon (2) machines used, post radiation I did monthly psa tests and my nadir was exactly six months after radiations (so like 1 year after diagnosis approx.), and this varies from patient to patient. I was at .06 and it moved upwards thereafter, there's your clue (lol). Even while on continued ADT3 a total of two years it was increasing but very slowly but every month too. I switched drugs against my genius uro-docs theory (the so and so), and got better response, lower and stabilized psas and much less to no side effects (go figure). Now coming up on year 10 soon. Glad I fired the uro-doc I needed an onco-doc and found my kind of guy.
You can still have your pathology reviewed and tested for such things, even could be tested many years later, the slides are good almost forever in theory. How some of these docs can render decent opinions without more testings or in pathology or CTC cells test and other things is I think questionable at a minimum. It is yours to consider, myself would go see someone like Dr. Scholz whom might even refer you to Dr. Bahn nearby for color doppler imaging testings to see what they may reveal, which could have a bearing on your prognosis????
