My husband had a TURP on the 28 January, and we had expected that by now, two weeks later, the pain felt during urination would have subsided somewhat. Unfortunately, it has not.
We did contact the doctor about it, and were told that this pain is normal, but I did want to check with others here to see roughly how long this situation (pain) will continue. My husband finds it quite debilitating and demoralizing and said it was far better before the surgery than after.
On another note, we had a melanoma check up on Thursday and so far so good. Next appointment in four months time.
Monday is the first consultation with the doctor doing the radiation therapy. Hopefully he will give us some idea of timelines so that we can start our relocation process.
However, first priority is the pain during peeing. How can we make this easier (apart from Panadol) and how long should we expect this to last?
Thanks in anticipation for your responses.
