Jean suggest your read everything you can find and get a better idea of the whole PCa concept, limitations, even exceptions and anomolies....then you might have a better idea of the possibilities and knowables within this, it has plenty of undefinables like lousy scans, it also has various options as to choices to atleast fight and maybe postphone disease esculations. A good oncologist is needed and hopefully an
open minded one at that. Hopefully you are familar with 'all' the drug options mentioned at www.hrpca.org
so as to know what has been tried in others and maybe see how it worked out for others at www.yananow.net
(mentors/experiences) thousand+ of patients journalized histories are there to read. Dr. Mark Moyad has a book called Beyond Hormone Therapy also available from www.paactusa.org
(a newsletter on line for advanced patients, do read their articles from pdf files). Probably buy it through www.amazon.com
Another protocol for failing Lupron patients and in high risk scenarios: Dr. Scholz using Leukine+ Cytoxan + Celebrex (sometimes revilmid added) this can be effective in many failing patients, one guy I know is into 4+ yrs. on this with great results and he claims like no side effects, it is costly but his insurance is paying for it. You can buy Leukine in Canada alot cheaper at www.northdrugstore.com (same for many of our PCa drugs or any drugs). They have generic casodex as low as .67 cents a pill in smaller quanities too. Dr. Myers has used Leukine + Ketoconazole and gotten renewed results in patients whom had about no hope....how long is always our next question?
Maybe read up on Radium 223, Zytiga, MDV3100, Cabitzatexal, Provenge and other options so as know something about your possible options going forward. Hope you find something in the arsenals that may help you soon.
