Tony has a link and some info on the CTC testings, or google search such to get an idea of what that is all about
. It could be of some usefulness, but like about
anything in PCa not perfection per se. If you were found with alot of CTC that helps define your nastiness of the disease to some level.
The drugs like Radium-223, Samarium and another are in the special class of internal radiological pharmaceuticals and can attack PCa throughout your system, it is known that this can be useful in fighting mets in patients( thus eleavation of bone pains too) and cells throughout the body. How well???? I don't know, you could read about
such to see what is known on this.
The most definitive information that can be known about
ones disease could be obtained through specialized pathology via Dr. Bonkhoff and maybe Bostwick and a very few others. Bonkhoff can do alot of genetic testings, molecular pathology and help identiy which gene caused your PCa, and it is known to some extent now which treatments work better or best on certain known genetic found issues within a given patient. Alot of docs of course don't even know how to use that information, some do, this is why we usually see the shot gun approach in HT therapies....one size fits all and it is easy and profittable to do those....so why bother.
