I can't say from my own experience since I had the IPP and AUS done at the same time. I can say that the combination of these two was worse the RRP, robotic. I had pain after being on my feet for 10 minutes or so from the pressure of gravity. Some suportive brief underwear, i used jocky "pouch" style, seemed to help. I didn't take any more than tylenol or advill after the RRP but I followed all the warnings about
pain and just took the narco type pain pills after the implants. As Gene said, the pain is not bad but you might want to take the pain pills they prescribe for at least a couple of days post op. When I was finding all I could about
RRP side effects and I saw the AUS device, I thought, OMG, I can't believe they do that and never dreamed I would have one ever. I thought the idea was horrible. Now, I love the fact that these are available and can't imagine life without it. I you are like the rest on us, you will never look back, now "normal" will be almost normal. I hope things go well and I hope you will post a follow up on how things went and most importantly a report on being dry when that time comes. Good luck.
