David everyone alive has cancer. It's true. So in that sense your statement is correct. The question is can we prevent or slow significant cancers and the answer is "YES, Absolutely". We can't prevent them all but if you do not smoke you improve your chances of not getting many cancers and if you are not obese you also reduce your chances of significant cancers. Our bodies work hard to kill rogue cancer cells but not as well if our immune systems are compromised and we do things that promote inflammation...
