I have a couple of trimix questions. Someplace I read that it is better to lay the penis on the side of your leg and inject that way into the shaft. Another said to injection at 1-3 9-12 oclock on a right angle . Is that straight into the middle of the shaft. I dont want to hit the ureathra.

Also I seem to get better results if I inject near the base of the shaft but Im afraid if i do this a lot I will build up scar tissue.

My uro had me pull it along the leg, mainly to give a stable target with a backstop as it were. Makes sense.

He has me inject near the base, at about 9 & 3 positions, yes, straight in (right angle). It is a bit problematic for me, seems that there are nerves that run at exactly 9 & 3 - hit one of those and you'll never use that spot again (been there, done that). Also I seem to have more blood veins than most, so the clear spots are limited. Any angle that would put the needle in vicinity ot the urethra would be an issue.

Alternating sides, and limiting use with at least a day in between shots are his suggestion to avoid scarring. That left-handed shot for a right-hander is a challege.

He also uses the "pull back on the plunger to get a couple of drops of blood" approach. That way you know that the med is going to the right place.

Steve - when I inject, the difference between the base and the tip has to be measured in millimeters to be able to use whole numbers. Not much difference between one and the other.

And he did warn me that if I felt the needle sink into my leg we might need to think about a shorter one.

I found it helps to arouse yourself first so that your penis is larger and you have a larger area to inject in.

S,

Remember you are talking to surgery guys with no nerves left.

FrankTalk may be the best place to get answers.

Not all guys with prostrate cancer are lacking nerves. I have a couple friends who still have them, but that they dont always work welll enough to have and maintain an erection. One guy can arouse himself a little and does that before injection to find a better place.

Not by any means implying that there are only surgery guys here, just that you happen to be conversing with some on this thread. I just see the ED threads here as a major side-effect discussion rather than the mainline subject. Since HW is open to kids as young as 13, and they can read any forum they want, we really can't have some of the graphic conversations that you can have over at FrankTalk.

Yeah, nerve sparing is a crap-shoot. Wasn't even an option for me.

I find the info I get here very helpful. The sharing of information is very important so if members want to discuss ED and TRIMIX why not. Maybe the age limit should be raised to 18 or 21. I doubt if many men under 21 have ED dificulties or prostate troubls.

S, I think the point that 142 was making is that the sister site Franktalk.org deals specificly with the ED issues and you may get more detailed info there. Lots of guys here are also on that same site. There is a specific section on injections.

Just hoping that this clears this up just a bit.

I've been using Trimix since Aug. 2006 and never had a failure. Plumping the penis before the shot helps. Its easier to his the spot and having blood at the site helps it work better. By plumping I mean to M a little to get things started.

I use10 units of med most of the time. (10 marks on a 1/2 cc diabetic syringe with a half inch 31 gauge needle) No pain anymore after I got used to doing it and don't flinch.

Orgasms are stronger than before PCa and multiples are possible. Sex is lots better than before. BUT ya gotta work at it. It doesn't happen right away so don't get discouraged.

A happy wife makes for a good life.
