You guy's are reading my mind....I purchased a cool case designed for storing injectables and syringes. It is insulated and has a place to put a freezer pack or ice.
I had a little plastic case that I lined with styrofoam sheeting for extra insulation and protection and now can put the cool case inside it.
I am running a test now to see how long the cool temp will last, the lowest the temp got was 42 degrees and after 6 hrs, it has only gone up to 43 degrees.
I have a temp probe inside the case that transmits the temp remotely so I can monitor what is going on. I think I have got a plan now.
I will put ice in a baggie and then inside my travel case. When I hit TSA, they may take it away from me but that is ok, when I get inside the airport terminal I will just get some ice from a vendor and fill it up again.
After 12 hrs when I hit Japan, I will just get more ice....should work just fine and I will be able to monitor the temp.
Not sure if I should carry my syringes with me or not, probably best to put in my checked bag..
I will let you know how it works out.
