I went this afternoon to a beautiful Catholic church in Overland Park, Ks. to attend the mass and saw for myself how many people were touched by David's presence. There were several hundred people there and the priest who gave the homily told of David's tireless efforts in the church, whether it be at a picnic, fish fry, or setting up communications for the church. He also mentioned David's foundation, FLHW, and the amount of money he and Mary had raised. It is now over 275,000 dollars. In lieu of flowers, they asked that donations be made to the foundation. The main theme of his speech was that David cherished time with his family, friends and church above all else. I never had a chance to speak with Mary as there were so many people there that know her better than I, and she deserves the support from her close friends and family at this time. Several of Brad's friends were there also, even some from grade school. Brad is only 15 and was by his mother's side the entire time. Very touching.
