Yesterday I spent a nice day with my marquetry club. We're mostly older guys and gals that enjoy cutting wood into little pictures. We were spending the day making stuff (bandsaw boxes with marquetry tops).
We also spent some time over coffee and doughnuts (don't start on that - we deserved the doughnuts and I only had a half, at a time) cataloging our various medical complaints. For every condition that was mentioned, hernia, heart, PC, whatever there were at least two people that had it. We compared our lists of meds and then helped each hobble out to the workshop - good news only one of our number is using a cane and he is expecting to fully recover from his knee surgery soon. There was a lot of general talk on how to make canes - on the bandsaw, lathe, table saw and a few ideas on carving...
Today I've made a decision to totally ignore the fact that I have PC and I am heading out the workshop to do more work on all the Christmas presents I promised to make.
See you all tomorrow.
I'll be in the shop.
