I have made notes about
my input and output a few times in the past and posted it here so others can make comparisons about
how they are doing. And yesterday I once again noted down when I had to pee over the course of 24 hours. I also noted what I drank. So here's the data:
07.25 Got up
07.30 Small Pee
07.45 Breakfast: glass of juice, milk in cereal, mug of decaffeinated Nescafe (500ml)
09.35 Pee plus a bowel movement
10.00 Mug of tea (250ml)
11.00 Mug of tea (250ml)
12.15 Lunch: glass of Juice (250ml)
12.45 Mug of decaffeinated fresh coffee (250ml)
13.25 Pee plus Bowel Movement
15.00 Mug of tea (250ml)
16.00 Mug of tea (250ml)
18.00 Meal: Glass of water and small glass of red wine (350ml)
19.00 Mug of decaffeinated Nescafe (250ml)
20.00 Mug of Green tea (250ml)
22.05 went to bed
22.30 Small pee
02.30 Small pee
05.45 Very small pee
07.25 Got up
I had to pee 15 times in total, but 4 times it was not very much.
While I didn’t record volumes of pee produced each time, when I measured the volume on one occasion after my bladder had felt full it was 200ml.
Total output of pee was thus about
(11x200) + (4x50) = 2400ml
Total fluid input was 2850ml.
The difference between 2400 and 2850 is accounted for by perspiration and breathing.
As a comparison here are the other measurements I have made:
In October 2009 3 months after surgery I had to pee 15 times in the course of 24 hours, (2 of which were small pees), and I was only drinking 2100ml per day.
In February 2010 7 months after surgery and just before my SRT I had to pee 11 times in 24 hours and was also only drinking 2000ml per day.
In April 2011 about
11 months after SRT finished I had to pee 18 times in a day, and was also drinking only about
2100ml per day.
So, having had quite a dip after SRT, I think there has been a bit of an improvement. The strange thing is that I am peeing less frequently despite drinking more, but the reason might be that my pee is more dilute and thus not irritating my bladder in some way. Has anyone else noted that type of effect?
