Sorry to hear of the rise.
You are comparing a PSA number right after using hormone therapy and then a PSA number a month and a half later. You don't seem to be hormone refractory / castration resistant at this point.
I think you should consider radiation and should meet a radiation oncologist about the possibility of Salvage Radiation which might help. Am surprised you have not been referred to radiation before this.
What country are you from? Good luck to you.

My first question would be where are you in relation to what your uro/surgeon had prescribed for the total length of time you should be on HT?
Second question is when did you stop HT in regard to the 09/12 PSA test?
I hope that you are consulting with your uro/surgeon on this, as they should have the appropriate information to help you decide if radiation would be useful. RT would be useful if they feel confident about the PCa remaining in the prostate bed. If it is already systemic, then the RT would be of much less value.
I am now working with an Oncologist as well as my uro/surgeon. So far, they are in agreement, but it does help to have the specialist's (medical oncologist) additional input. I would suggest that you also consider that approach.
There are a lot of articles on PSA doubling time, but mine, which was about 75 days before I started HT at a PSA of 5.2, was said by both Uro and oncologist to warrant HT. They wanted to see a doubling time of 9 months to 1 year or longer.
