One of the guys in our local PCa support group, recently went here to get this newest scanning method and it did find disease
locations that very likely normal CT and Bone scans will miss. Here is some info and contact stuff if someone is interested in checking this out, the FDA has approved their process (the only one for C-11), but insurance may not pay for this scan, this guy paid $3,000 for the scan out of pocket.
I have a brochure that in from PCRI Insights August 2012 shows photos and findings and explains more on it. Supposedly clinical trials might still be ongoing here are the links they published:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/record/NCT01530269 Dr. Fabio Almeida 602-331-1771 (directly)
Phoenix, Arizona location they use cyclotron (neutron) somehow used to prepare the I.V. injection for the C-11 stuff.
Dr. Scholz risk assessment link 'Shades' might be worth seeing: http://pcribc.org/pages.php?pageid=8
Probably the future of scannings will make this mainstream or evolve into even better scannings, which is very much needed. You can maybe get the brochure through www.pcri.org (I think)
