I know how nerve wracking it can be to wait for biopsy results. The technicians and doctors who work in the labs get backed up over the holidays the same as any other business. Doctors know that lab turn-around takes longer so they factor in a few extra days to be sure they have the results when they promise them. This means that patients get to wait and worry a few extra days if they have biopsies right before Christmas.
