our friend's teenage son just had a testicle removed and the other fixed so it wouldn't have to be removed. he took a couple days off school because of tenderness but that's it.
i have another friend with PC that had both removed in an attempt to slow down the progression of PC that was diagnosed at a very advanced stage. he didn't complain about the procedure and i didn't ask. he went refractory very quickly and is still doing okay but the decline is obvious.
i think the mental and emotional aspects are the toughest but you seem to have that handled. good luck to you.
