I just got my lab results from my PSA test last Thursday.
PSA was up to 9.4 (was 7.2 in Sept of last year). The Free/Total was 10.
I guess that kind of kicks my Active Surveilance out the window.
I made an appointment for the 9th of Jan with the Radiation Oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center here in Tampa.
Diagnosed in 1999 (age 49) with single focus of PCa - too small to Gleason score
1999-2012 Three negative biopsies (PIN a couple times) and PSA bouncing from 1.1 to 8.2
Active Surveillance from 1999 till now
Sept 2012 Biopsy with 1 out of 12 with 5%, 1 with 50%, both Gleason 3+4, PSA 7.2
Looking at continuing Active Surveillance or possibly HDR Brachytherapy
Last PSA 1/7/13: 9.4 with a Free/T
