From my perspective the identifying characteristic of flame is heat not color. Casey and DavigG are having a childish argument but nobody is getting mad. We all know them and they are just being who they are. We are all sorry that your thread turned toxic and had to be hollowed out and locked. But that was different. Hurtful things were said there.
The issue of members who come across as experts in discussion is something to think about. Officially there is no medical advice to be had on this forum. It is, for one thing, a legal issue. But it is also merely prudent. Something we should all bear in mind.
As for renaming G6 as a pre-cancer, yes, it has been discussed before but it is a worthy subject and we get new members all the time who won't have seen those old discussions and might be interested that there are some cancer specialists who think that the line between pre-cancer (Gleason 5 and below) and cancer (6 and above) was drawn in the wrong place. I tend to be fairly conservative and I, personally, think that the uncertainties of diagnosis and the incomplete understanding of the causes of progression make the designation of GS6 as cancer prudent. But I see the other point of view.
Casey is being childish but so are you. He posts things in hard-to-read colors. If he used higher contrast text I'd read more of what he writes but he is who he is.
There are not a lot of people who I can ask this question, but I think you are one of them. I have noticed that you are smart, detail-oriented, and frequently socially oblivious. Have you ever been evaluated for Asperger's syndrome?
Peter - I think that beyond all the petty personal pissing matches that go on here the potential legal issue with dispensing medical advice is indeed the real problem. No idea what the owner of the site thinks about
this issue but perhaps strict guidelines to avoid such things, or at the very least a disclaimer, would be prudent.
