10/2012...Age: 39, Veteran, Previous diagnosis of Persion Gulf Syndrome / Chronic Fatigue from the first Gulf War. blood in sperm, PSA 26; antibiotics for 6 weeks.
12/2012...PSA now 27 (they thought it was an infection) scheduled for immediate biopsy. Biopsy showed Gleason of 8, second opinion of Gleason 7.
1/2013...Bone scan and CT negative, scheduled for surgery.
03/05/2013...DaVinci robotic radical prostatectomy.
03/13/2013 to present...13 lymphnodes negative, seminal vescicles okay, no evidence of the cancer outside of the prostate, Gleason at 8, catheter to come out 03/15/13. They say a microscopic 'anamoly' was noticed at the bl CATHETER SUCKS!, leakage around catheter at the head of the penis when I stand, walk, cough or sneeze. 8 symmetrical and even stretch marks on my left (viewers angle) abdomen (weird). You know that feeling of pain when you had to pee real bad and you were gonna piss all over yourself if you didnt find a bathroom in a few minutes; that is how I feel all day long. I cannot sit straight up as the pressure on the area where the prostate used to be is very painful. I have Oxybutynin Chloride 5mg to control bladder spasms, which is what they say is causing the urine to come around the catheter at the penis head.
I suppose that I got the best post op report possible. They did mention a possible microscopic anomoly on my bladder tube, which they left. I heard that it was very minimal and if attacked during surgery, could adversly affect continence. Further review may require radiation.
