I did mention that it was bleeding, today, on the phone. that didn't change anything in the over booking situation. I really want my uro to see it, as he knows the history best around it. don't think its going to kill me over the next few days, just one more thing to annoy an already pained body.
still so little is known about
porocarcinoma, even 13 years later. still around only 300 cases known ever in the world. when I had it in my scalp twice, its the rarest yet, only 6 known cases, ever, in the scalp. it usually starts low, like feet and legs and works up. mine started at the top of my head, then got into the lymph nodes of my throat last time.
chemo and radiation are not known to work, but they did the radiation in 2000 just to do something. if it did turn out to be that, I would go back to my first oncologist, as he was considered the expert in the US, with 2 of us with it. the other person was a woman, she lasted 2 years with it before it killed her. mortality rate is estimated to be in the 50-67% range, and it can metasise quickly once its gets moving.
could still be something benign, but boy, did it ever grow fast just in 2 weeks, and the bleeding is what spooks me, because that is what the other tumors did when I had them. it may have to be surgically removed from what I have read, and if so, I would want the pathologists to be told to look for porocarcinoma, as they wouldn't normally look for something that rare or exoctic. I read that porocarcinoma in general, only makes up 1/100th of a percent of known cancer tumors.
have to admit, I never get a break, its always something else to add to my list of woes, lol.
