Welcome and sorry you have to be dealing with this. Like your husband, I wasn't a good candidate for surgery. On the radiation side you'll have options - beam and Brachythearpy. Both are likely to work just fine as a curative treatment. Brachy is done at one shot while the beam will require that he goes in daily for 6-8 weeks. The beam (IGRT or IMRT) has one slight advantage over the seeds in that they can target the margins of the prostate better.
I did the beam radiation and so far it's working out just fine. My brother is just about
to have the Brachy treatment.
