Got the biopsy done yesterday, wasn't the most pleasurable thing I have ever had done to me, but all things considered not a horrible experience. Numbing jell and two shots to the prostate did the trick.
He also gave me an antibiotic shot in the butt cheek that actually hurt worse than the rest of the procedure.
Me being a straight shooter asked the doctor if he could a preliminary opinion based on my PSA numbers, DRE and ultrasound if he thought the biopsy will come back with cancer, he was a little hesitant to answer and me being me pushed on. He stated that he thinks with all of his findings thus far he believes the biopsies will come back positive, and it will be just a matter of getting the Gleason score and proper staging information. I have an appointment for next Thursday and will have the final answer.
I am not submitting my application to this forum just yet, maybe next week
Steven - I was told before my biopsy that it would be nothing and after my biopsy, while I was still knocked out the urologist told my dad he saw nothing to indicate I had cancer. My point is that they make mistakes often and I hope you don't dwell on his assumptions too much heading into this long holiday weekend. I imagine you might not get the results back until next Wednesday or Thursday.
Hope it all comes back negative.
