I know just what you mean. Beth and I have been in Eagle River, just north of Anchorage, Alaska, for the last week and a half helping my daughter and three of our 7 grandchildren move into their new home here. Her husband, an Air Force pilot, is in Oklahoma finishing re-qualifying on his aircraft after a Pentagon tour and won't rejoin them for another week. Being a military wife can be very challenging.
We've been working hard getting the household set up and doing some sightseeing as well. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Neither Beth nor I had ever been to Alaska before. It has definitely been GFMPH, although I'm pretty worn out and dread the red-eye flight home tonight.
So, Andrew, enjoy the time with the grandkids. You're creating memories.
