I've had a long summer break from HW, so hello to all my friends. And hello to all the new folks I've not yet met. Well done to any who have joined the zero club, and congratulations to anyone who has done anything great off topic. Hope you have had or are having great vacations/holidays. (I travelled about
a bit in what used to be East Germany looking at ancient houses castles forests as well as bits of the Iron Curtain).
I have just got back from yet another check-up with a Radiotherapist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam and can report that all is still well as my PSA is still classified as undetectable. (less than 0.01)
I saw a different doc (once again) but she knew most of my story and said that all the RT docs seeing patients today were all urology specialists. It is though amazing that it is already over 3 years since my SRT finished and more than four years since I was chopped about
by the robot.
As compared to this time last year I would say my continence has got a bit worse. I don't really notice it in the daytme though since I started using pads about
a year ago. However at night it is getting annoying having to get up 4 or five times and a couple fo times I have woken up after having a substantial leak, though in both cases I had been lying on my back and only nmeeded to change my boxers and not the sheets too.
Little Alf is still functioning too, though the down side is still that despite it not being too difficult to get an erection I still have a great deal of trouble having anything that resembles an orgasm let alone a pre-op orgasm, and I am leaking a bit more pee during sex than a year ago too.
The doc said that if I detect any reduction in performance I should report it sooner, as meds will have a better result if taken before there is total loss of erectile function.
So off to pour myself a glass of something red and to have a quite evening.
