Hi folks,
This survey has been approved by the Admin.

My name is Tony Crispino and I am a 7 year survivor of advanced prostate cancer, most of you know me. I am also a long standing HealingWell member and former moderator. After my diagnosis I started running support groups and moderating here in the prostate cancer forum and in the last couple years I am a patient advocate working for ASCO ~ The American Society of Clinical Oncology and SWOG ~ Southwest Oncology Group which is a co-op that consists of 22 major cancer centers across the US. What we do is clinical trials. We are one of the five Co-ops in the US designated by the National Cancer Institute to do these unbiased, and independent clinical trials. I have been asked by the group to circulate this survey in an attempt to help us understand better ways of accruing patients into legit clinical trials. There is no place to enter your name or personal information, and you can answer any or all of the questions. In addition, this survey is targeted at ALL cancer survivors no matter the disease origin, and no previous trial experience is necessary.

Thank you in advance and please help us out. Here is the survey:

I have received an extension on this until next Monday.

Please if you can it is a brief survey and it is for a great cause. No personal info asked or shared, just basic questions about you individual cancer experience. Any cancer. Any circumstance.

Please help if you can. And thank you in advance.

Tony,
For you it's done--,less than 5 minutes! What did you & Casey think of the "guidelines" I provided you both--sounded aweful "raw" to me...Probably it would be more appropriate for Casey to comment if he would for "political reasons".
Keep up the great work!

I just took the survey. It asks good questions, is short (only about a dozen or so questions), and only took me about 5 minutes to complete it and check "submit."

Let's see how many of us can take it!

Folks can also share this survey off of HW. As of today we met our criteria but are still open for more responses. The incoming responses this week have bee great due to our PCa networking abilities here at HW and the Infolink.

Thanks again to all who have replied.

I took the survey before I realized part way through that it was targeted at survivors rather than those of us in course of being treated.

I noted that on a couple of the questions with comment boxes in case my answers need to be discarded from survey.

Appreciate all you do Tony, particularly anything to increase awareness of clinical trials we may be eligible for.

Just missed your Chicago gathering as I will be there at end of month for a couple weeks for Halloween and grandson's 9th birthday

BTW, a cancer survivor is defined as anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis, up until the time they die (of any cause)

Tony,

Hope it isn't too late, just saw this and filled it out. So, so simple! And by the way...YOU are the one who helps us!

Thank you to all you have responded. We will be taking more until further notice. Again, any cancer is a qualified response. If you are connected to other cancer forums for any form of cancer, please feel free to share with those folks.
