Well, it was that time again this afternoon, results time. My PSA is continuing it's creeping upwards trend, still confounding the experts and seriously irritating me now. rolleyes Latest was .25 up from .21 4 months ago. The thing is still slow rising, nothing dramatic. My Uro and I went over our action plan again. The trigger for SRT is still gonna be .30, but he is gonna send my current history on to the Radiation Onco. guy who I saw 3 years ago for a consult when it first began to rise noticably. Next test in March, go from there. I think if it continues to rise and is approaching .30 by then, I will go ahead and begin the SRT plan. Or not, depends on what it is, I guess. wink

In the meantime, life goes on, we continue to pack for our planned trip to New Mexico, leaving this Saturday, we'll be back around the 15th of Jan, and will worry about it then. In the meantime, I got lots of plans for covering lots of Indian sites around the 4 Corners area, Monument Valley, Moki Dugway and the national parks in Utah. I am hoping for a mild winter, with no snow, so we can drive around easily. Got a new camera and itching to wear it out. tongue

James, I'm glad the rise is slow and hopefully it will round back down the next time. But, it sounds like you have a reasonable plan just in case.

Enjoy NM...a great place to visit.

James

I see that your PSA trajectory is nearly the same as mine was. I rose slowly over a period of 7 years after my open RP until I needed salvage radiation. Once I hit 0.1 I stayed there for nearly 3 years. But once the PSA started moving again it then rose quickly to 0.4 within 9 or 10 months. My good news is I'm now more than 3 years since SRT and still have a PSA of 0 and no signs of recurrence. I hope you do as well.

wow - Monument Valley.

Been wanting to go back there. I was about 10 the last time I was there.

Hate to see you needing the SRT but sounds like you've got a good plan.

Let us know how the trip goes,
Andrew

James, them sure are some good numbers. While it may be an upward trend, as you said it is small and slow. Sure hope it levels off for you.

Enjoy the trip. I know you guys are looking forward to it.

Can't wait to see you again, looking forward to March in Fl.

Be safe and have fun,

Sonny

Lessee,
If this pace is maintained, when you turn 90 you may be at a 20 PSA. This could be residual healthy prostate tissue.

Stay well, James!

James,

Sounds like you have a good plan put together for addressing your slow rising PSA.

By the way, some of my favorite pictures of the Four Cornera area and the Utah National Parks have been with snow. The snow really gives the rocks a different look. A couple of years ago I was able to get the RV snowed in at Bryce.

Good luck and best wishes.
