As I am scanning posts on healingwell during my 10 minute coffee break it has occurred to me all the new names I don't recognize . It is true that I don't post as often as I use to but it still seems strange to me. Just saying hello to all the folks I do not know.... Hello

Noticed the very same thing Todd. Don't visit too much anymore. Seem to have just moved on.

Todd and you other veterans,
Hello!
I hope you all know that the new guys like me don't always comment, but we are reading your stories, blogs, old threads, etc.
We look to you for your knowledge, strength, & experience as we absorb historical data and all the new technology. Thanks for sharing and please keep it up!!

Jerry you are right on about the board. It is a living board names change and the old names come and go. Many have crossed paths and have become life long friends.

Break?!? They give you breaks? wow.

It does seem to me that there has been a shift in people lately. Given the nature of the forum that's bound to happen once in awhile.

But we all know your the same old Todd who we love.

This is an interesting thread. I have been on here a couple of months and have had very little contact or replies to my posts. It's funny because Just before I signed on today I thought, maybe this is just too large of a group, and if not maybe it's "clicky". Regards Inkhorn

Inkhorn - Over the last couple of months there's been a few guys that dropped out and a bunch of new folks joining. You're not alone, there are times I don't feel like all my posts get paid attention to. It's not personal - we're just not perfect.

Feel free to email me any time you want.

Hello todd, still plenty of us old dogs around. And lots of new faces the past few months, sometimes hard to keep up with.

Inkhorn,

I'm very sorry you feel that way! I'm somewhat new as well!! Because I'm new and just don't know much yet about PC, I don't respond much at all. However, I do try my best to just say hello and say an encouraging word.

I work part time and have time to read, but the past couple months, I've not been on here because it seems I don't have much to add and the holidays!! But having said all that, we welcome you and are here to help you and others in any way we can.

Guess it might be because of the holidays and the first of the year that everyone seems busy. Trust me, there are not clicks!!

March 20-24, everyone's invited to FL to Sonny and wife's place for a weekend of fun, food and fellowship. Sonny has chosen a Hotel if you'd like to stay there. If you've not seen the thread, let me know and I'll hook you up. I've never been to any of the meeting and we're so much looking forward to the meeting in a couple months.

Take care,

Dave in Bartlett, TN

I've pretty much gone to lurker status myself, but I pop on at least weekly to see how things are going. Five years is a long time on any forum for me, but I guess I feel that I have a vested interest here, and it always feels like I'm coming back to visit with old friends and meeting new ones.

Hey Todd, good to read you again. Like you, I have been inactive, but I still read every day. I sorta figured after 6 and 1/2 years, most had gotten tired of hearing me and would welcome new stuff to read. tongue

The site has grown so much in the last 3 years, probably twice if not more members are posting now, and it is sometimes hard for the most prolific of us posters to reply to almost everyone. I tried for 5 years, but couldn't keep the pace up, so am now slowing down and making an opportunity for others to step forward. I am sorry that some folks aren't getting answers to their posts , it shouldn't be that way if everyone would help just a little bit and be just a little more active.

Since I am on the edge of SRT, probably next month after my next PSA test, I will likely be back with questions specific to that issue. In the meantime, welcome to the newer folks, glad to meet ya, stick around and help out with your experiences.

Inkhorn,

Sometimes I feel a bit invisible myself. It's a side effect of being a bit slow on the draw, I think. By the time I notice a thread, think about it and decide what I am going to say, it has often run its course. I like to flatter myself that the reason I so often post the last comment on a thread is because my insights are so stunning that there is simply nothing else to be said, but the fact of the matter is that I straggle behind conversations and will often be the one to get in that one, last whack at the dead horse.

I looked back at your last ten postings (all the history that is available from your profile page) and I notice that in the last month you haven't started a new thread. Sometimes when I am feeling ignored I will start a new thread that is, umm, a bit peculiar just so other members will have to talk to me to find out what in the world it means...

Just a reminder, especially for the new guys, that if you go to the index screen for this forum (usually the first screen you encounter when you come to the forum, the one that lists line-by-line the topics being discussed), you will see that the fourth column on the screen is "Replies" and the fifth is "Views."

The names are self-explanatory. "Replies" is how many people have replied to that thread, while "Views" is how many have looked at it.

If you then leave the forum and come back to it at a later time you will likely find that the number that was under "Views" has increased, while the number under "Replies" may or may not have.

Of course it varies with the thread, with some getting more views (and/or replies) than others, but the numbers in those two columns will tell you what kind of response the thread is actually getting. And maybe reassure you that people are actually viewing the (or your) thread even though they may not be replying to it.

Ink horn and others. My experience is with the advanced cases and I don't post near as much as I use to. I don't know squat about surgery radiation catheters diapers etc. I hope you don't feel ignored too much. I will echo the sentiment of others. There are no cliques here. My name is Todd. It is a pleasure to meet you

Guys-Thanks didn't mean to whine, Inspire and Peyronies Society just seemed more tight knit. I will attempt to be more proactive. Best Regards Inkhorn
