I stayed in a hotel for a week after surgery. We got a room with full kitchen and ate in everyday. I was put on a low fat diet until the catheter was removed. Bought a case of water to drink, they want you to drink a lot of water after surgery.
I brought and inflatable donut to sit on and am glad I did.
Bought a plastic bucket to hang the catheter on in case it leaked, it did one night, saved a mess on the hotel carpet.
Brought dvd's and a portable dvd player.
Hope that helps some.
