Thank you, guys. I know Dr.Myers probably prescribed it for you, Jerry. I am surprised to see so many other doctors prescribing it for PC. Unless all of you are Dr.Myers patients, lol.

Yes..he started me on this like 18 months ago. We had an interesting conversation about this and a few other meds. I've had no side effects with it... that I know of.

Is your father taking it or considering it?

If you search within HW for Metformin and pc, you'll probably come across other guys using it along with some good articles about it. If you want me to link them here, let me know.

Thanks, Jerry. I was thinking of adding it to my dad´s supplements while he is in the "off" cycle to slow his PSA. The main goal to delay the "on" phase as long as possible. Another year would be grand. I see that as my job, because his doctor is only interested in the standard protocol and official therapies during the "on" phase.

Dad is already quite thin and does not need to lose any kg, so I was just wondering how this drug would affect someone who is not a diabetic and thin, but seems like you guys are handling it well. I already read that kidney and liver values have to be good in order to take this medication. Will search a bit more, thanks.

So he's been on a HT vacation for 2 years? That is awesome. If he can extend that out longer...even better.

Some guys have challenges getting a script from their doctor without being diabetic...just a heads up in case you go that route...

I have always been tall and relatively thin...just for comparison...

I would think the HT drugs would have more of a issue with liver, etc.... counts vs Metformin.

Did he spot radiate those spots identified by MRI? Any recent scans?

Looking out for your dad....good for you...

Thanks, Jerry. No he never had the spots radiated. He will have a bone scan this month, keeping our fingers crossed.
