Interested in this thread since I probably need to take the plunge and get an AUS. Will follow Big Mac's progress. The potential for long term discomfort and accidental deflations are a concern as I do a lot of driving for work and motorcycle riding for fun.
Welcome Biker56 to Healing Well! I guess you were born in 1956, like my wife, and you like to ride bikes!
Thanks for reading my thread and finding us here at Healing Well. Sorry you had to join us but glad you did!
I don't think you will have a problem deactivating an AUS by riding bikes but you may have a problem
opening the cuff to urinate when you don't want to. We have many memebers on board that have an AUS that ride both motorcycles and bicycles who will be coming to help you with your question.
My wife has already purchased something for me called a "NUTTY BUDDY" that is like a hard cup that protects your package from anyting. You can go to YOUTUBE to see a guy have a fast ball thrown to his balls without affects.
Since I have had swelling from the surgery and I will not be activated until next Tuesday, I have not used it yet so I will have to report back to you on it's affectiveness.
Again welcome. I see you were diagnosed in 2006 had RP salvage RT. When was your surgey, what was your PSA then and what is it now? You also indicate you still have ED and incontinence issues. The guys will probably like to know how you are doing with your PCa also.
