First of all thanks to all of you guys who sent words of encouragement and answered my questions -- you guys rock!
DaVinci surgery completed on the 6th at IU Methodist by Dr James Sloan. (would recommend him without hesitation) After getting the inital pain management figured out, discharged the following day. Cath removed on the 13th. Pretty much dry all day and night from the get go so no issues there, just waiting on "mr happy" to wake up. (one a day 5 mg cialas being taken as we speak)
All cancer was contained within the prostate so looks as though we got it all. Biopsy saw no change in initial gleason score, although there was some cancer in the right side that had been missed in the initial biopsy and MRI. No other spots found. First post surgery PSA scheduled on the 31st of July.
I can say that I feel very lucky to be in the position I am now, so quickly after surgery. I know so many of you have had so many issues. With that, I feel I can't really offer anything to anyone else that isnt being covered.
Thanks again to all ...
