I just found this place and am hopeful you can provide some information.
I'm 53 and was diagnosed last week.
I've have had an increasing PSA for 10 years. My first biopsy was four years ago, 12 cores, all negative. Before my recent biopsy I had PSA equal to 10. That biopsy had 7 regions tested with 14 cores total. 13 cores had carcinoma present, 3 regions were Gleason 10, 3 were Gleason 9 and one was Gleason 7. Tissue percentages ranged from 5 to 80%. None of the regions had peri neural invasion and I don't have a palpable tumor. But, here's the kicker... The pathology report identified neuroendrocrine carcinoma. Mine is a denovo case which is apparently very rare.
I'm in the process of testing to stage my disease and will know more soon...
In addition to those things, I'm looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack, the best doc around for denovo neuroendrocrine prostate cancer. I've started a literature search, but it's not turning up much information. Does anyone have a suggestion?
