Great to hear good news tonight about
I'm in a different situation. I had surgery, but my PSA has crept to the border of not "undetectable" range since Oct last year. My dad died from prostate cancer. Probably because he believed the "don't test if you're over 70" crap. He would probably still be alive if only... An uncle has prostate cancer. My brother was diagnosed GS9 while I was recuperating from my surgery in the hospital. I searched and found this site and he finally connected with Dr. Myers because of what we learned here. His visit only weeks ago was great and I am very thankful to hear Dr. Myers figures he'll die of something other than prostate cancer. (Just have to take care of the heart, Bro!). So maybe I'm jumping the gun, but when my brother told him of my situation, he said I could benefit by seeing him. I'm in that process now, getting all the reports and tests collected to send to him. I had a world-renowned surgeon whose name you know, but at this point I need someone who will work with Dr. Myers. I know my surgeon would refer me to an RO, and probably a good one. But I want to work with someone who can work with Myers to hopefully minimize SE's from any future treatment. My PSA is still low, just barely "detectable". But I don't want this to become a game of catch-up. As you can probably tell, I'm frustrated that my surgical procedure probably isn't turning out to be the cure I was hoping for. I'm still not 100% continent. ED is still an issue, only helped with injections. I don't want those things to become worse if I can help it. But I know from first hand experience that not all doctors are willing to work with Dr. Myers. My wife and I are feeling pretty crappy about
all of this. I'm in the 60013 zip code.
