Yes, there is a strong family link in PC. I and my two brothers have it, but our father and grandfathers didn't.
While there might be a genetic component involved, I've often wondered about
diet and environmental factors as well. Another factor in my family's case might actually be improved medical care. Most men in my family die from heart attacks and strokes in their 50s and 60s. Now that we've been well treated for that, I wonder if my bothers and I just lived long enough to finally get PC...
