This is my second post on this forum.
I have had a roller coaster for 4 weeks but feel that now I can move forward.
4 weeks ago my father passed away peacefully in hospital. We said farewell to him in a lovely service 2 weeks ago.
Also 4 weeks ago , a friend of ours disappeared and it is possible she may never been found due to suspicious circumstances.
3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer with a G8 pathology report. This was a severe shock for me and my wife at the time.
3 weeks ago my father in law was placed in hospital and is quite ill.
Finally some good news. My son was married on the weekend that has just passed and everything became great again. We are blessed with a fantastic daughter in law, and wonderful son.
For me, I have just returned home after visiting my urologist. Ct and bone scans - CLEAR, and my urologist is very confident he will be able to remove the prostate and all of the cancer because of its location, with nerve saving also a distinct probability. At last some great medical news!
I have now booked into hospital on the 11th of May for removal of the prostate with robotic surgery in a hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
Thank you to everyone who replied to my first post. It gave me the incentive to research thoroughly this cancer and to be well prepared for the next steps. You are all fantastic.
As I said, a roller coaster ride for 4 weeks that I hope is now smoother for the future.
I'm a happy chappy at the moment.
I owe someone a drink from my previous post who believed that the cancer would be contained. Cheers to you!
By from your brother from down under.
