Had a long discussion with my dentist just a few weeks ago about
this. He said that in such a case he would choose a route that had the least pressure on the bone. You might want to see if there is a dentist in your area who specializes in cancer patients, and would be more informed as to the problem.
My dentist had a passing knowledge until a few months ago, when another dentist in town had a PCa patient whose jaw shattered in what was supposed to be a simple procedure. He realized I was the same, so spent some time in research, and has become much more aware.
