Divo, very sorry to hear about
these tough issues you are dealing with, and hope somehow things take a turn for the better. Regarding Dr Samadi, and as relates to John T and F8's comments above...
I met with Dr Samadi, 2 days after I was diagnosed. I was in an extremely fragile state and he knew it. And he used scare tactics to convince me not to even consider radiation. He bad mouthed my urologist who he knew personally, and the hospital he was associated with. And in my fragile state, he had me booked for surgery before I walked out the door. TWO DAYS AFTER I WAS DAGNOSED, and the surgery scheduled for 5 weeks after my biopsy (too soon). When I asked his assistant a few days latter about
an MRI to plan the surgery, the response was "Dr Samadi doesn't need an MRI. The only surgeons that do that are the ones that don't know what they are doing. REALLY. DID YOU JUST SAY THAT?
i could go on and on. But I will just say, this guy may OR MAY NOT be a great surgeon, but he is not professional, in my opinion, and I wouldn't let him operate on me. He is a self promoter, first and foremost,
I ended up having the surgery, AFTER seeing 2 rad oncs and 2 other surgeons.
Just to be clear, I am not slandering anyone, just giving my opinion, from my personal experience. I know some have had good experiences with him. I also know of at least one, who was told by him, negative matprgins, then when they saw the pathology report, it said positive.
Sorry to rant, I get upset whenever I think about
how I feel he tried to railroad me, at what was probably my weakest moment of my adult life,
