FYI, I also had the mucousy stuff. It went away pretty quickly after IMRT was over.

Almost there! Keep on putting one foot in front of the other!

Captain's Log...Star Date 124/120...T-41...20/23.

So, there it is...Hormone Therapy, DONE!, HDRBRT, DONE!, and only 3 EBRT sessions left to do, then it's DONE...DONE...DONE.

Then what? Dr Morton says "See ya in November". Really? So that's how it ends? No instant treatment validation...no "You're Cured, so go and live the rest of your life without worry".

Geeze...that seems pretty friggin' anticlimactic.

I still feel like I've cheated in my treatment somehow, even though I have a few "mild" SE's. Somehow, I keep thinking the prostate TAX MAN is gonna come and AUDIT me, and find me guilty of some little thing, with a stiff penalty.

I guess I need to plan my new Chronicles "POST TREATMENT" thread.

Maybe I'll title it "WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT"

Thanks Michael. I'm trying to pick a."Crack open.the bubbly" point, but I don't know what that looks like yet.
Last night was the 1st night in 3 months that I didn't have hot flashes and night sweats while I was sleeping so maybe...just maybe Mr T is waking up.

I assume the cloaking device has now been activated on your prostate and for all intents and purposes, while it might still be there, you'll never see or hear of it again.

Congrats on finishing. To go with the Olympics starting up, radiation is a marathon, while surgery is like running the 400 meters--neither a sprint nor a distance race.

Thanks Michael. It was not as anticlimactic as I anticipated. I got a "graduation" certificate in the ways of a what to expect pamphlet, a hug from one of my regular RT's, and a visit from one of the OR RN's who worked on my HDRBRT that I didn't actually remember, but apparently she remembered me. Celebrated the completion with some yummy McDonald's and spent the evening relaxing watching the Rio opening ceremonies.
Today, I'll drive up to the lake and enjoy the weekend on the water with the fam.
Hope you all have an exceptional weekend!

Hi fellow forumites. Just popped in for a brief update. 6 month PSA test came back today. Oct 2016 was 0.10 and Apr 2017 came back 0.073, so still looking for the nadr, and heading in the right direction.

Hope you all are doing fine!

Thanks Allen. I agree. My T levels returned back in November 2016. Other then some lower bowel inflamation that I try to control with diet, and of course an enlarged prostate, by all accounts I am doing well.

Newton-
I just read your story. What an informative, yet humorous account of your treatment! What I like about this forum is people, like you, who share their experiences. Newt's Chronicles are a great resource for new members joining our club.

It is wonderful to read of your outcome. Congrats!

Hi team. Short update - Last PSA was 31 Oct 2018. PSA is down to 0.050 now. The Doc put me on 1-year protocol now. Last week, we found an issue with my wife. Large mass in the area where her ovaries are supposed to be. On a fast track to Princess Margaret Hospital.

Hope you are all doing well.
