Hello Brothers,I filed for VA disability Dec.18,2015 for exposure to the herbicide,Agent Orange.I didnt know at the time when I joined this forum in Oct. of 15 that prostate cancer was one of the many diseases, cancers, that VA acknowledges was caused by that darn weed killer that so many of us injested in one way or another.
I want to thank 81 GYGuy and other Viet-Nam Veterans for educating me and getting me to go to the D.A.V. and get the paperwork done and mailed in.Today ,I received my first 1 month check in the mail for 2,965.00.Yes men the Eagle sh#t today. Thats what us Marines call payday.I have to set up a automatic deposit is what they suggest. The 100% disability will continue at this rate of pay until I get re-evaluated in 6 months and beyond.
I have been down to Hines Hospital for evaluation a few times for this issue and other things. All the people there were helpful, courteous, any sympathetic. Some Veterans I know go thru all the hoops and frustration with VA.My experience with VA was a very good one with all involved. So thank you all again,my Brothers, and Uncle Sam,SemperFi
