Interesting short video on the use of mannequins in the training of medical staff in a hospital ER.
Anatomically correct mannequins provide staff with training in potentially life-threatening ER situations, with no harm done in the case of mistakes made, since no live patients are involved.
The mannequins in the video still seem a bit primitive, but they are supposedly adequate for the purpose they are serving.
Perhaps in the future they will be become completely like-like, close to indistinguishable from real people, adding even more to the training experience./www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfmQQPDLoVk
