Don't get on HW all that much nowadays, but check in occasionally, it has been 9 years and 11 days since my RP , this forum has been a comfort to me in all that time and I have made some good friends here over the years, I am presently doing HT, which has driven my PSA right down to 0.03.

Thanks for your thoughts over the years, and all the best to all of you.

regards Mal.

Hello Maldugs,

You're verging on that DECADE milestone ... tremendous !

Great to hear from you ... and that P.S.A. level is at "low tide" now ...

My best to you, Maldugs, looking ahead !

In the spirit of Mal's post, I am now nine years, four months, and seven days since completing 86 Gy of IGRT. In the years since then, my sweet wife of 41 years has died. I have retired from a long aviation career. I am an active participant in helping raise my name sake grandson. My health is excellent (aside from some normal 70 something aches and pains). Aside from my wife's death, I am a fortunate man and I am grateful to be where and what I am. I wish that all of you could be so fortunate.

Good grief ----- all the old timers are dropping in.
I was just doing a flyby and saw that among the other stalwarts, Bill and Mal had dropped in and posted their nine year marks, so I thought I would raise my head. Like you two, I seldom am here any longer. As is Mal, I am approaching the nine year mark (Aug 10th) and am fortunate in still pulling <0.01 after a skirmish with a substantial amount of G8.

Hey Mal, i am glad to see your great response to the additional therapy.
And Jet, I hope your grandson (and namesake) is firing on all cylinders and keeping you on your toes.
Now all we need is for David to drop in. I hope his journey is a little less arduous now than it was in the past.

Maldugs, Thankyou so much for this thread.

Our journeys are fairly similar, though you started about 6 years before me. Assuming that I continue to follow your path, knowing that I can look forward to 9 or 10 years fairly symptom free, with more to follow is very comforting.

Best of luck for continuing good health, and thanks again.

I wish you all the best Chas, in the beginning I thought I was a goner, maybe had one or two years, but with treatment, and faith in my medical people, I am still here, and doing ok, and I wish you all the very best for the future, live your life as normal as possible, enjoy what you can, when you can.

Regards

Mal.

I was just doing a flyby last night and saw Mal's title post. Good to see some familiar names from the old days. I recently went back and re-read my first post. The name are mostly different now. The stories are the same though.

Thanks billymac, jet, and mal for stopping in and saying hello

It's heartwarming to see so many of the old boys and pleasing to see so many doing well. I just wish that David could have an easier time of it. Glad to see that you are doing so well BillyMac, but I still have to stand on my head to read your posts!

My best to all,

Bill

Nice to see an older (date joined) poster update. Thanks for checking in. Good luck with the HT.

I remember posters like jetguy, BillyMac, Tim G, RCS from days gone by on this forum...and Todd. So far on this thread, I think the only one I have met was jetguy at CajunJeffs GFMPH in 2013.

I just passed 7 years since my RRP. PSA still undetectable. While some original factory equipment has been removed, I am doing well.
