Just completed my last of 38 treatments today for SRT. Side effects have been fairly minimal during treatment, some intestinal issues and mild rectal bleeding, some mild bladder irritation but nothing horrible so far. The RO tells me radiation is the gift that keeps on giving but odds are slim of serious complications. The follow up appointment isn't for four months and PSA draw the last week of February. Hard to get a straight answer about
what to expect if SRT is successful. RO said if it's ten it was unsuccessful but success is determined over time and several PSA draws although he only tests every six months. Does that sound right? My last PSA before treatment was 0.149. i would think it would be undetectable if it is a success but he said he'd be happy if it was 0.2 or similar. Any comments appreciated.
