Started Caverject 40 MCG Injections yesterday at the URO's office. Within 5 minutes things were working and under 15 minutes I was feeling right!

The Caverject came in powder form in a vial and the nurse mixed 1cc of saline to the powder and loaded it all into a 1cc needle. The Doctor and his intern discussed the first dose to be 3.5 to 4 and decided to use 3.5. They told me that if it did not produce a usable erection that I should gradually increases the dosage as a little could go a long way. The needle still has most of the medication in it

But boy did the 3.5 injection obtain results! Almost too much as 2 hours later I was still fully erect with no signs of going down. So I applied an ice pack for about an hour and had some beer. Finally after 3 hours the erection started to go down and after 3.5 I figured I was ok and would not have to go to the ER.

I feel like 3.5 is too much and I should try less, but how much less next time? If my wife is willing I am going for it again tomorrow. Should I go down to 3 or 2.5? I hoping for a usable erection to impress the wife.

Thanks for any advice

Glad to hear that caverject works for you. I tried years ago. Not many users get the dry form and mix it themselves. I would guess that it is much less expensive that way.

One of the problems with Caverject is the aching pain it sometimes causes. Caverject is the brand name for alprostadil also known as prostaglandin. If the ache becomes a problem some urologists will prescribe a bimix or trimix that can be prepared by a compounding pharmacy. The bimix contains no alprostadil and the trimix a smaller portion of it. Keep experimenting until you find the smallest amount that works for you.

Thanks, Dr's plan was to start with Caverject, see if it works (and man it worked yesterday) and then switch to a compunding RX

I tried MUSE and if I used a pump, we could have sex, but the pain from the MUSE is a lot worse than the Caverject injections, so far

I used Caverject it was the most expensive on the dialators. 2x as much as Trimix. You can get the same drug from the compound pharmacy. I think the drug is Prostaglandin (sp)

The Caverject has been working to well for me and sent me to the ER last night. I have used Caverject less than 2x a week since starting with the injections.

First injection of 3.5 tenths of 1cc at the Doctors office lasted about 3 hours and the erection started to go down after 3.5 hours.

Next try was 3.0 tenths of 1cc and had same results. The following try was 2.5 tenths of 1cc with the same results.

I then dropped to 2.0 tenths of 1cc, then 1.5 tenths of 1cc and the erection still lasted 3 hours. The 1.5 tenths of 1cc did take an extra 3 or 4 minutes to kick in, but the effect stayed with me just like before.

So late yesterday I decided to use my VED to help with the injection (bigger target) and then only use 1 tenth of 1cc and this sent me to the ER at 11 pm where I stayed to 1:30am to get the little man to calm down. Did pumping cause this happen? I did not pump after the injection, only before and was not totally erect when I injected.

Why is the erection lasting so long? I was told by my Doctor the erection should only last about an hour. I guess I should try to talk to my Doctor before using Caverject again right? Or did the VED cause this? Any thoughts here?

Funny thing is that I tried Muse (same stuff right?) and it did not produce an usable erection
