My base line (first) PSA reading came back at around 4. I had done enough reading to know that was borderline. At my doc's behest (he didn't have to work hard at getting me on board with his plan) "We'll keep and eye on this". We did for 4 years. (I don't recommend this). So, I had a lot of time to research "in case it's ever needed".
I have no clue when my PSA began to rise. As mine did, yours seems to have leveled a bit. (1 month's variation of .01 is, for all intents and purposes, "no change").
After my biopsy, my MRI showed several areas of Pirads 4 and 5. Most of these turned out to be something other than cancer. So, an MRI is not the last word.
The DRE's are just more information. Your prostate is large. That could be where some of this PSA is coming from.
I agree with Advocate. Find out what's going on, if anything. Prostate cancer is generally slow growing. Don't freak. You'll know in April. Don't cancel.
edit....when I got the news....I'd done enough reading that, with my path, the cancer didn't scare me. It was the treatments that scared me. but if I can do it.....trust me....anyone can. Including you.
