Well, I went to the doctor and he showed me what to do then I walked home confidently thinking I can do that. I ordred my medicine and it came in the mail. Got all ready and tried to stick that needle in and it wouldn't go in. I did not jab like I probably should have. It hurt and it barely broke the skin. I abandoned my attempt. I decided to wait till I got a pump so I would have more to work with when I was doing this little operation. My wife and I went out and bought one this weekend. Attempt number two. Got the needle loaded up got ready and I just couldn't do it. I screamed for my wife to come in there and take over. She came in gave it a poke and I didn't even feel it. Unbelievable. 5 minutes later I had a flagpole. We had our first sex in god-knows-how-long and the erection lasted for about 2 hours. What a relief.

I took 7 units. I'll back it down to 6 next time and see what happens. In the doctor's office he did 5 and it was pretty good but not as good as I wanted. My cost per injection is below $2. Can't beat that

If it always last two hours my wife is considering renting me out for the second hour. I would probably need oxygen though

Fantastic -- Just make sure your careful with the injection. Make sure it is done correctly and safely. Don't hesitate to keep calling the URO to make sure you are doing it correctly. Thousands of people have had great longtime results from using the injections with wonderful success. Just make sure your careful and make sure you research proper injection technics and stick with them. I believe I got Peyronies from not doing the injections correctly and that is something that will really blow your mind if it happens. God knows I don't want to rain on your parade but please be safe over sorry. They have those little injection pens I think they make it easier.
Enjoy the trimix but error on the side of being overcautious then careless like I was. Thank life everyday that you have a helpful and understanding wife.

Just reading about what that disease is about I imagine you hit the same area too often. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Peagcu,
That's fantastic! It was a glorious day for the GF and me when I did my first TriMix shot. As BigAl said, I don't want to put the negative on your on your party, but I also developed Peyronies and it was shocking, and depressing, to see the dick shaped that way. There seems to be controversy as to whether TriMix causes it. I would recommend that you research if there are ways to prevent Peyronies. It the meantime, party like it's 1999!

Since it is described as a scar tissue problem I would imagine repeated injections into the same area could cause that problem. Being as you're not exactly shooting at a big thing like your thigh I could see how that could happen

From what I've read it seems to be more a symptom of ED. It's no surprise that people who use trimix would report it fairly often because what are they suffering from? It's kind of like when they report that diet soda causes weight gain. Well, if you look at most of the people that drink diet soda..........

I am going to my URO next week for my first injection. Got my trimix and needles in the mail. They also sent me an auto injector. Now my penis is not huge. Is a 6mm needle a little long? Could I set the auto inject to just thrust 4mm out into my penis? I am concerned with going into my urethra tube is why I am asking. My rehab therapist says I need at least one erection a week for healthy blood flow. My URO is not very enthusiastic about the injections and says it is only needed for sex. Which is right??

I am not doing injections, but have read a lot about them.

(I'm 11 months out from my surgery, and currently using Viagra therapy to maintain the penis. I do get a response from the drug.)

Anyway, I've read you need to follow your doctor's advice carefully so you don't get an adverse side effect like Peyronies. Some urologists prescribe injections if drugs fail, but I'm being treated for my ED by a specialist in ED only who says he's not sold on injections. We haven't discussed them in detail yet, but I think he must worry that patients may use them too much, or get the dosage wrong.

You should look at the Frank Talk website. There's a lot of information on injections there, from people like us.

You should look at the auto inject device. That sounds sort of foolproof.

Good luck.

Uro surgeon says I have no nerves left and forget the drugs. My primary md specializes in internal medicine says to try the drugs. Now and then, sometimes the nerves do survive. Again more conflicting info

Congratulations! I['m glad that stuff works for someone!
I lost both nerves but still tried injections. Some guys swear by them. I swore at them.
I kept increasing the dose and going to higher and higher concentrations. Finally I went to a Quad mix at the highest dose possible and only got a little stubby. My dose of active ingredient was 100 times the amount used by one of the other guys here! He said he was afraid to even look at my bottle - like staring into the sun.
Turn out, I suffer from venous leakage so no amount of juice will work for me.
Next step is implant but am waiting... and waiting... and waiting....
Maybe when Medicare kicks in.

Oldbeek , I am not an authority on this, but I don't think the nerves should matter if you are speaking of TriMix when you say "drugs." TriMix, I believe, induces the erection by some other mechanism. My nerves were not spared and TriMix was very effective for me,

I think there's a great chance TriMix would help you.

by drugs I was talking about challis and viagra pills. Not the trimix. I am aware that trimix most likely will do the job.

I see venous leak mentioned. An important aspect of a program of penile rehap is to prevent venous leak from happening. But if you have leaks, you won't be able to sustain an erection. This is what I've learned.

Just had my first good erection without assistance. Had a great dream last night and woke up and had an erection that you could pitch a tent on. I was pretty much shocked. It was a hell of a dream. Won't detail it but it was about as realistic I've ever had one. Nice to have

Peagcu, you may wind up being in good shape if youre already pitching a tent on your own. You said youre only shooting 7 units? Thats all?? I need between 45-50 units. It works, but Ive never heard of someone getting by with 7. Good for you! BTW, never had an issue with the needle not going in, but have had a blockage where I couldnt push the plunger... thankfully only twice. Anyway, good luck!

Maybe. But plenty of folks have ED- mild or severe- and good success with Viagra etc, for years before they have surgery and start injecting. They never had to inject before surgery, but they did have ED requiring treatment, but no signs of Peyronie's. Then they have surgery, and inject, and then they have PD.

I have often thought we should do a poll. But my feeling is that 99% of the guys I have seen on here complaining of PD, reported it after they started injecting. And 99% of those started injecting after they had RP. So I have no doubt that just having had RP puts you at much higher risk for PD. But still, it just seems that those RP guys don't discover PD until they have injected for a while.

I developed Peyronies about one year after using TriMix. My method of injection and frequency of use was exactly as directed by the doctor and the information pamphlet the doctor gave me. The amount injected was slightly above the threshold that gave a usable erection, as per doctor's instructions.

Having Peyronies was shocking, and pretty depressing. I had been under the impression that it was a rare occurrence. Now I'm wondering if it is fairly common, and yet another piece of information my Uro "forgot" to mention when he made the pitch for a RP. lol

Your case sounds pretty much like several others I have read about. The risk of an ER trip, Peyronie's, the pain, and lack of usable results, and the lack of pleasurable sensations even when I did get barely usable results, were the reasons why I decided it just wasn't worth it for me any more. We can be thankful some others have better results. If I had usable results and it felt good at the finish, I'm sure I woul have taken my chances on the ER and/or Peyronie's and even the pain. I would have just taken my chances.

Tri mix contains alprostadil which causes pain in most men. I have been using a BIMIX which does not have the alprostadil (prostaglandin) in the mix. I have used it for more than 10 years. If bimix works for you then you have your answer. Still working for me with no problems and I am 76 years old.

Did you go straight to bimix 30/1 or did you have to experiment to find the right mix? What does 30/1 mean? I have sever pain with trimix-mix and am looking for answers.

There once was a man from Fort Dix
Who needed a shot of "the mix"
With an unsteady hand
And skills that he lacked
He stuck the shot in his sack! tongue
