Yesterday Bavarian Nordic released this presentation at ESMO 2017 in Madrid, which includes information about the status of their phase III trial of PROSTVAC: http://www.bavarian-nordic.com/media/261385/170911-gulley-en.pdf

Earlier this year the company had announced that the final unblinded data will be available towards the end of 2017, but that they will give an update in September.

Question for the trial specialists (Allen ;-) is there anything new in this presentation that we did not know? I guess I have not seen the the regional differences (e.g. US vs Eastern Europe), but I am not sure if there is any more robust data re OS? Should we still expect a more concise update regarding this trial later this month?

Thanks - m.

You could also take part in the VIABLE study. This is a very similar treatment done in Europe.

I agree with you -- I didn't see anything new there, other than the survival curve for Eastern Europe :-( The illustrations are very nice, though.

According to their listing in clinicaltrials.gov, which was updated last month, their "primary completion date" for data collection on overall survival is November 2017, and the study ends a year later. They typically don't announce results until they have been peer-reviewed.

Thanks, Allen!

In June of this year Bavarian Nordic said in a press release (http://www.bavarian-nordic.com/investor/news/news.aspx?news=5238) that they expect the PROSPECT study to read out final data in the second half of 2017. Not sure when they will be ready to publish that data to a wider audience.

When I read the subject line I thought it was about a new surgical procedure that vacuums out the prostate smile
