I posted a few weeks ago. A quick recap: at my gp he was a bit concerned about
asymmetry so ordered a PSA (my first as my family has no history). PSA test came back very high (18.1). Referred to urologist who was concerned but put my on two weeks of cipro.
I just went for follow and doctor said "remarkable results" and that my psa had dropped to .7 (but he put me on two more weeks of cipro as he felt my prostate had recovered 80% and wanted to try to avoid relapse). So it really is good news.
I am posting both to share where I am (which seems good)- but mostly to say thank you to everyone who reached out when I was in a very dark place. Getting to know about
this resource has been incredible- and getting to your stories and the strength this community provides is truly inspiring.
And while this may not be the time I jump fully in to this world (and as I've learned, that is always possible- more possible- as time goes by), I a grateful to know about
this resource as a close friend has confided that he is in a "watchful waiting" period (and now I know what that means).
So again, thank you for your generosity and kindness.
